Director, editor, and screenwriter Craig William Macneill currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. 


Macneill’s latest feature LIZZIE (Chloë Sevigny, Kristen Stewart, Kim Dickens, Dennis O’Hare, Fiona Shaw) premiered in competition at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. The film will be released theatrically nationwide in the summer/fall 2018 through Roadside Attractions and Saban Films.  

In 2019, Macneill directed an episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE reboot, titled The Blue Scorpion, starring Chris O'Dowd. 

Macneill directed all six episodes of the first season for the TV anthology series CHANNEL ZERO: CANDLE COVE. 


Macneill’s feature debut, THE BOY (David Morse, Rainn Wilson) premiered in competition at the 2015 SXSW Film Festival.  THE BOY is based on his short film, HENLEY, which screened as an official selection at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and was awarded the grand jury prize for best short film at the 2011 Gen Art Film Festival and the Carmel Film and Arts Festival. Macneill was awarded a Jerome Foundation Grant to produce the short film, HENLEY, which he also co-wrote, edited, and directed.  

Macneill’s first short film, LATE BLOOMER, screened as an official selection at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival and went on to win awards at film festivals worldwide including the audience for best short film at the 2004 Lake Placid Film Festival.
